Witches and Wizards
There is a practice known as
Drawing Magic. This is the type
of magic utilized by witches and wizards.
Drawing Magic uses energy from
the Realm of Power to bring results.
A glyph is prepared in the Realm of Power.
Then a sigil is drawn in the Living World.
The sigil pulls energy of the type
and combination denoted by the glyph
from the Realm of Power into the
Living World.
The sigil then directs the energy
to achieve the intended goal, be it unlocking
a door, launching a ball of fire or
healing a wound.
The difference between a wizard and a witch is
where they learn their glyphs and sigils.
Wizards obtain them from grimoires written by the Elder People.
Witches originally did the same.
But over the years, their practice evolved
to allow the creation of new sigils and glyphs.
They might then pass them on to apprentices.
Wizards perform operations.
Witches cast spells.
But it is all the same.
