Letter 14: The Demon Plague Verses

To my brothers and sisters of the Learned Scholars of Icebrunt,
This letter is accompanied by several copies of The Demon Plague Verses book. By now, we are all very much aware of the Demon Plague. But not everyone knows why it happened or how it was resolved.
I worked with the heroes that put an end to the plague and set the world aright. I know them well. They are living here in Shatterbone. Their names are Billet Stormstone and Vilerend Skymarch. I want the world to know of their heroic deeds. I commissioned a poet to put the events to verse. The Demon Plague Verses tells that story.
I must now ask you to kindly do me a favor. Please make additional copies of the book and sell them. We need to spread the tales so that everyone knows who saved them and how they did it. Fill the libraries and book shops.
It would also be a good idea to hold free, public readings of the book. Even the poorest people need to hear the story. You don’t have to do the readings yourself. You can hire local bards or actors to do the reading for you.
This is important. We owe Vilerend and Billet for their courage and sacrifice. They had no need to help us. They were foreigners, enslaved in Coastend and freed by Fate to help all of us.
