Sugarthorn Village
You can find one of the most peaceful little villages on the eastern bank of the North Lemontwig River. Life near the river is quiet and peaceful, despite the bustling hub that is Sugarthorn Village. The village sits between Sothlin City and Fort Alebog. It was built by order of the Resettlement Decree to serve several purposes. Farms were built nearby in the Ravenclove Plains. The village also served to keep watch over the North Lemontwig Bridge that leads from Sothlin to Cloudspeak Province. Sugarthorn is a supply depot for the fort as well as a Waterway Transit authority. Resources obtained from the mines in the Sothlin Only Hills are sent downriver to Sothlin City. The Waterway Transport Office inspects and tracks cargo for the GOR. They monitor all natural resources coming out of the mines. They collect transport fees to fund their office. Their goal is to maintain control over natural resources and to prevent smuggling of said resources.

Businesses
Fernburn’s Tavern: Order the mead. Order the meatwich. Thank me later. Be sure to dine in their back yard. It overlooks the North Lemontwig River. A pleasant breeze often drifts through the yard bringing the scent of flowers from a nearby field. Dapple Fernburn’s son (Haft) and daughter (Prickle) perform music and tell tales. Their talent is beyond compare. This tavern is one of my favorite places in the world.
Wristbone Inn: The Wristbone Inn is an ancient structure. It has been standing for well over 100 years. How it survived the Demon Plague, the World Woe, and the Undead Plague is beyond comprehension. The proprietor, Tulip Metalbite, is a gruff woman. But she is dedicated to her guests. Her words may be sharp, but the service at the inn is impeccable. Our favorite room is the Ripple Room on the second floor. It is named for a famed guest of years long gone. No one knows anything more than that. The room looks out over the North Lemontwig River and into Brighthawk to the east. It is a breathtaking sight.
Burly Beard’s Blazing Bargains: Affectionately referred to as 4B, this store sells all of the items one might need for day to day life. Burly Beard Bugthunder runs his shop with gusto and flair. Expect a vigorous greeting when you enter this shop. Burly Beard sources his products from all over Sothlin Province, like most general stores. However, he makes his own candles. Be sure to purchase one. They come in a variety of scents that instantly improve any location where they burn.
Cobble’s Stone Travel Goods: This shop is owned and operated by Cobble Rilldragon. Cobble can outfit you with anything that you need to travel the world. She is exceptionally knowledgeable. Don’t be fooled by her lack of legs. She has walked all over Linomnount and seen more than anyone. She makes unique walking sticks that seem pricey, but are well worth the coin. They are utilitarian works of art.
Notable Locations
Forgotten Tower: Just outside of the village is a slender, ten story tower. It is a cylinder of black metal without door or windows. Nobody knows what is inside. That knowledge has been forgotten. It is surmised that the tower burrows deep into the ground. The ground may have swallowed the base of the tower in an ancient landslide. Perhaps a door is many stories under the earth? No one has ever funded a dig to discover more about the tower.
River Walk is a gorgeous path that parallels the river. There are numerous shady spots under sprawling trees where people like to picnic and play.
