“Outside of town is
a menagerie
of wild animals.”
“They travel throughout
Linomnount showing
their caged animals.”
“The owner is a
cunning fellow but
I know his secret.”
“He is a dragon
but he lives his life
in a human form.”
“The menagerie
is his hoard, for he
is Marshal of Beasts.”
“Marshal will fight with
us when we summon
a Darkling,” he said.
“He foolishly thinks
that he can capture
it for his beast hoard.”
“He has his motive.
We have a motive
too: acquire a knife.”
“A Darkling’s knife can
steal the soul needed
to forge the Hammer.”
“I will let you find
that willing donor.
It shall not be me.”
“I have brought two gifts:
Rings of Stout Heart and
Oil of Hellsight vials.”
“Anoint yourselves with
the oil. This will let
you see the Darkling.”
“Darklings exude fear,
Even the bravest
warriors will flee.”
“It is a mighty
force that one cannot
simply overcome.”
“These rings will negate
a Darkling’s aura
and let you stand brave.”
